IR Cue the Date – Privacy Policy

1. Overview

IR Cue the Date is a privacy-focused reminder and important-date app developed by IR Studio. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when you use it.

2. Information stored on your device

The app may store the following information locally on your device:

Important dates and event titles
Reminder schedules and custom reminder times
Categories and repeat settings
Notes you add to an event
App settings and theme preferences
Privacy-related preferences, including Personal-area settings

This information is used to provide the app's reminder and date-management features. It is not automatically uploaded to IR Studio servers.

3. Personal and sensitive reminder information

The app includes a Personal area intended for private reminders. Personal entries can be hidden from the main dashboard, and neutral notification text can be used to reduce the amount of sensitive information shown on the lock screen or notification panel.

IR Studio does not intentionally collect or remotely store the contents of your Personal reminders.

4. Notifications

IR Cue the Date can schedule local notifications so reminders can appear at the times you choose. The app may request Android notification and exact-alarm permissions where required by the operating system.

Notification scheduling is performed on your device. Follow-up reminders, if enabled by you, are also scheduled locally.

5. Biometric authentication

The app may use Android biometric authentication, such as fingerprint authentication, to protect access to privacy-sensitive areas.

IR Cue the Date does not receive or store your fingerprint, face data, or other biometric templates. Biometric verification is handled by the Android operating system and your device.

6. Backup and export

The app may allow you to export a backup file containing your saved dates and reminder data. Exporting is initiated by you.

When you choose to share or save an exported backup using another app or service, that third-party app or service may process the file according to its own privacy policy. IR Studio does not control how those third parties handle data that you choose to send to them.

7. Accounts, advertising, analytics, and cloud sync

The current version of IR Cue the Date does not require you to create an account to use the app's core features.

The current version is designed without advertising and without cloud synchronization of reminder data. IR Studio does not use the app to build advertising profiles from your reminder content.

8. Data sharing

IR Studio does not sell your reminder data. The app is designed so that your core reminder content remains on your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share it.

Data may also be processed by your device operating system or by third-party apps you deliberately use for actions such as saving or sharing a backup.

9. Data retention and deletion

Locally stored app data remains on your device until you delete it using the app's controls, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app, subject to Android backup/restore behavior that may be controlled by your device or Google account settings.

The app includes controls that allow you to remove saved important dates from the device.

10. Children's privacy

IR Cue the Date is a general-purpose reminder and date-management app. It is not specifically designed for children and is not intended to collect personal information from children.

11. Security

We aim to minimize privacy risk by keeping core reminder data on-device and by using Android platform security features where available. However, no device, storage system, or software can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the app's features or legal requirements change. Any updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
